Mike assumed the role of CEO of CWP’s Hydrogen business in 2024 after serving on the board for several years. Before re- joining CWP, he was the CEO of Globeleq, the largest IPP in Africa, which he joined in 2015, and prior to that, from 2008 he also led the original CWP grid-connected wind business as CEO.

With 30 years of experience in the international power sector, Mike has worked across f ive continents, developing, building, financing, and operating projects involving a wide range of technologies, including gas, engines, solar, wind, hydro, battery, and biomass, receiving wide recognition and numerous industry awards over those years.

Originally trained as a geologist, Mike is also a Chartered Accountant and a Sloan Fellow from London Business School. His time in the oil and gas and mining industries was brief, and long time ago, and he is now deeply involved in the Energy Transition, where he thrives on the scale and complexity of the challenges it presents.
