Massaer joined BP in 2021 as Vice President and Head of Country for Senegal. In his role, he steers BP's actions to pursue opportunities for growth in gas and low-carbon energies in Senegal and the region.

Prior to joining BP, Massaer was Managing Director at Lekela Power, a renewable energy company, with responsibilities around capital projects, business development, project construction and long-term operation.

Previously Massaer was Director at Deloitte where he began his career in the New York, USA office where he led a multidisciplinary team working with multinational companies in various sectors, including Energy.

He holds a master’s degree from the State University of New York, USA.
