Malcolm Watson is an accomplished professional with over 24 years of experience in the maritime and oil and gas industries. He began his career in England as a marine engineer for companies such as London C Overseas Freighters Ltd and The Maersk Company, before transitioning to the oil and gas sector with roles at Midland C Scottish Resources Plc and Amoco. 

He later held strategic positions as Project Manager, Operations Director, Consultant, and Client Representative for leading companies like Kerr McGee China Petroleum Ltd, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Premier Oil Vietnam, and MODEC Production Services Ghana. 

Throughout his career, Malcolm has managed complex projects in key regions, including the Bohai Bay in China, the Chim Sao field in Vietnam, the Baobab field in Côte d'Ivoire, the Jubilee and TEN offshore fields in Ghana, and the Sangomar project in Senegal. He has overseen the design, construction, and conversion of FPSO vessels, as well as the management of offshore production, operations, maintaining efficient production levels of up to 100, 000 barrels per day with an annual OPEC budget of $100 million. His expertise has contributed to achieving a safe operational uptime of over 99% without major incidents. 

Malcolm excels in project management across the entire lifecycle, from tendering to commissioning, including maintenance and performance optimization. He has implemented targeted cost-saving measures to reduce annual operating expenses and deployed process safely management systems to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management. Additionally, he has led nationalization and skill transfer initiatives, building highly qualified local teams in China, Vietman, and Ghana. Notably, he achieved a 100% localization rate of expatriate staff in Vietname, ensuring the sustainability of offshore operations.
