Fatoumata Sissoko-Sy is IFC’s Infrastructure & Natural Resources Regional Industrial Manager for West Africa. She leads the implementation of IFC’s strategy across energy, transport, water, mining, and telecoms and manages key clients, partners and government relationships.

Before joining IFC, she was serving as Regional Director for West Africa at Proparco (French Development Agency), overseeing all operations in the sub-region. She had been instrumental in developing Proparco’s business in financial institutions, MAS (Manufacturing, Agriculture, Services) and infrastructure.

Over 20 years, she has held positions with varied responsibilities, including Senior Manager in Credit Agricole CIB where she was involved in coordinating the risk assessment of energy, natural resources, and infrastructure projects, as well as developing and strengthening relationships with partners in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Additionally, Fatoumata worked on capital markets at Credit Lyonnais.
