Dr. Fall Mbaye
Born in Mbacké, he studied at the prestigious Limamou Laye High School before pursuing higher education at the 'Polytechnic School of Dakar' where he distinguished himself as the top student in his class in electrical engineering. He then furthered his knowledge at the ENSEEIHT Polytechnic School in Toulouse, France where he obtained a engineering degree in electrical engineering, electronics and automation, again as the top student in his class. Continuing his academic journey, Dr. Fall MBAYE obtained a Doctorate in Power Electronics Engineering of the Institute Polytechnique de France. This solidified his expertise in complex electronic systems and cutting-edge technologies. Passionate about innovation, he also obtained a Harvard University certificate in emerging economies, thus broadening his vision of global business and markets power electronics and a recognized expert in the field of advanced technologies, with an exceptional career spanning several decades.
His impressive professional career began in 1986, when he held the position of Director of Technology at BULL Electric in Vernon, France. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Director of Project Managers at Eurotherm International SSD in Paris, from 1988 to 1990. This experience has strengthened his skills in managing large-
scale technological projects.
Dr. Fall MBAYE then joined the Swiss holding company Ascom, where he served as Director of Project Managers for nearly 17 years, from 1990 to 2007, in the telecommunications sector. His ability to lead teams and manage complex projects propelled him to even greater responsibilities within Comet AG, a Swiss multinational specializing in X-rays. First Director of R&D for X-ray Generators from 2007 to 2016, he was then promoted Director of Power Electronics Technology, a position he has held since 2016.
Dr. Fall MBAYE is also a prolific inventor, holder of several international patents in the field of switched-mode power supply technologies and AC/DC converters. Among its most notable innovations are a Protection circuit for switched-mode power supply, patented in Europe in 2006 (EP 1500181B1) and a US patent on a damping circuit for switched-mode power supply (US2005/0259451 A1).
His career is marked by major technical achievements, all supported by a deep commitment to innovation and technological progress. His influence in the X-ray,
