South Africa, Germany Collaborate on Green Hydrogen Projects

Moshoeshoe emphasized that due to the robust presence of green hydrogen projects in South Africa, the collaboration will facilitate the establishment of business-to-business prospects connecting our developers with off-takers in Germany.

Germany has already committed significant capital to the development of green hydrogen in South Africa under broader objectives of securing long-term fuel supply.

Alongside France, Britain, the United States and the European Union, the country committed $8.5 billion towards the development of a green hydrogen economy in South Africa. With the new deal, Germany aims to not only secure supply but ensure the relevant off-takers are ready.
