A Masterclass on Mauritania’s green hydrogen sector at the MSGBC 2024 conference will navigate the country’s energy sector while providing insight into the country’s Green Hydrogen Code Bill. The session will explore Mauritania’s business landscape while equipping potential investors with the knowledge and skills to participate in the country’s high-growth market. Mauritania’s parliament approved the bill in September this year, with aims to leverage the country’s solar and wind resources to become a hub for clean energy production.

Optimizing Seismic Data Acquisition and Interpretation for Exploration Success

A technical workshop at this year’s MSGBC 2024 conference will equip professionals with the knowledge to optimize seismic data acquisition and interpretation strategies for diverse geological settings in the region. Last July, energy data and analytics company TGS signed an agreement with Mauritania’s Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines to integrate, enhance and license subsurface data for oil and gas exploration. Meanwhile, Guinea-Conakry boasts an inventory encompassing 15,000 km2 of 3D seismic and 45,000 km2 of 2D seismic data while Senegal’s national oil company Petrosen has collaborated with TGS and geophysical company GeoPartners to provide more than 14,000km of 2D data and over 10,000 km2 of 3D data to interested parties.
