Africa Fortesa Corporation CEO to Speak at MSGBC 2025 as the Country Scales Up Onshore Gas Production
)
Rogers Beall, CEO of oil and gas company Africa Fortesa Corporation has been confirmed as a speaker at the upcoming MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2025 conference and exhibition, taking place from December 9-10 in Dakar. A pioneer of Senegal’s onshore natural gas industry, Beall is set to share insights into the company’s flagship projects, long-term expansion plans and the role of domestic gas in strengthening energy security across the MSGBC region.
Africa Fortesa Corporation is the operator of Senegal’s longstanding Gadiaga onshore gas field in the Thiès region, which has served domestic power generation for over two decades. The field has historically supplied crucial volumes to the SAR refinery, the SOCOCIM cement plant in Rufisque and the country’s state-owned Senelec through a fully Senegalese workforce and existing pipeline infrastructure.

Africa Fortesa Corporation is currently seeking partners for the Sadiaratou and Diender permits to ramp up production to 20 billion cubic feet of natural gas. The company is also seeking fresh investment from new shareholders to back expansion eastwards into the Thiombane Dome, which holds an estimated one trillion cubic feet of gas reserves.
With nearly 50 years’ experience across the global oil and gas sector, Beall has been an instrumental player in driving exploration and production. Under his leadership, Africa Fortesa Corporation holds two onshore licenses in Senegal – one exploration permit in line with the Sangomar oilfield and one long-term exploration license for the Gadianga conventional gas field – and is driving an extensive gas-o-power agenda across the country.
Beall’s participation at MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2025 comes at a decisive moment for Senegal’s gas industry, with largest-scale offshore developments such as the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim and Sangomar fields diversifying supply sources and accelerating energy access.
“Roger Beall’s participation underscores the critical role of onshore gas in driving Senegal’s energy transition and industrial growth. Africa Fortesa Corporation has been a trailblazer in delivering domestic gas to market, with projects like Diamniadio directly empowering local industries and reducing reliance on imports. His insights at MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2025 are set to highlight how strategic upstream development can translate into sustainable energy security and economic opportunities for the entire region,” states Sandra Jeque, Project Director, Energy Capital & Power.
